Family Promise of Palm Beach County

"Family Promise" is a way for faith communities to work together to provide emergency shelter for homeless families.

Family Promise of Greater West Palm Beach will meet on March 20 at 7:00 pm at St. Lukes United Methodist Church to hear a presentation by a board member of the Broward Partnership for the Homeless. Ten churches and synagogues in South Palm Beach County have met twice to discuss how they might form a network to provide emergency shelter for homeless families. We have been meeting at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church. (For more information, call St. Gregory's at 561-395-8285, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 561-392-0007, Temple Beth El at 561-391-8900, or First United Methodist Church at 561-395-1244. Driving instructions: I-95 north or south to Palmetto Park Road, east to Mizner Boulevard (first light east of Federal Highway, US #1), north one block to the church on your right. click for map )
We are doing this following a highly successful model. Thousands of faith communities in the U.S. have joined together in 128 networks in 39 states with coaching from a national organization in Summit, N.J. called Family Promise, Inc., formerly called Interfaith Hospitality Networks.
